It has been five years since I founded Santa Barbara Living Real Estate, a boutique real estate brokerage. It seemed a good time to put a name on to something that I had been doing for some time. I have lived and loved Santa Barbara for over 40 years. I have been a Santa Barbara Real Estate agent for 25 and held my broker’s license for 14 years (9 of which while working as an associate with a national firm).
They have been good years. I believe that I better serve my clients by not being forced into decisions that are based upon a corporate bottom line checklist. I have had the opportunity of representing some wonderful people, most of whom became friends, a great bonus.
This does not mean that I lack backup. I pick up the phone to get legal advice from the California Association of Realtor’s counsel, I take classes on line and in person to update my knowledge, I have a marvelous team of Sherry Moore, my paperwork guru; Cynthia Burt, marketing and tech stuff; and best of all my new associate Tamara Skov also a long time Santa Barbaran who shares my standards of integrity and putting the client first and foremost.
