Nutcracker At The Arlington, with Live, Full Symphony Orchestra

Experience this classic E.T.A. Hoffmann tale and Tchaikovsky’s iconic score performed by a full, live orchestra, Elise Unruh, Conductor.

SBFB takes you on a magical journey full of wonderment and surprise with Clara and her Nutcracker Prince. Audiences are enthralled with Herr Drosselmeyer’s Clock Work Dolls dancing to life, a giant Christmas Tree growing beyond the stage, and one being transported to the Kingdom of Sweets where wonders galore captivate with Dancing Snowflakes, enchanted Waltzing Flowers, and audience favorite Mother Ginger.

Featuring Misa Kuranaga, Principal Dancer, Courtesy of Boston Ballet as Sugar Plum Fairy, and Angelo Greco, Principal Dancer, Courtesy of San Francisco Ballet, as Sugar Plum Cavalier, Santa Barbara Festival Ballet Company Dancers, UCSB Dance Company, Community Members and student dancers comprise a cast of near 100 characters.

Under the Artistic Direction of Aimee Lopez, this Nutcracker has delighted generations throughout our Central Coast for decades. Beautifully costumed and staged, Nutcracker At The Arlington is recognized as one of the rare and longest continuously running productions in the USA.
